(A) Before the city contracts or renews a contract to place or install a speed detection system in a school zone pursuant to F.S. § 316.008(9), the city must approve the contract or contract renewal at a regular or special meeting of the City Council.
(B) Members of the public must be allowed an opportunity to comment regarding the contract, or contract renewal under city's public comment policies or formats, and contract, or contract renewal may not be considered as part of the consent agenda.
