§ 56.26 POWERS VESTED IN COUNCIL; EXERCISE; REFERENDUM.
   All power and authority granted to the city by the provisions of this subchapter shall be exercised by the Council or its successors as the governing body of the city. The powers granted hereunder may be exercised by resolution duly adopted by the Council. No referendum in the city shall be required for the exercise of any of the powers granted by this subchapter, unless such referendum is required by the Constitution of Florida or by the Charter of the city; provided that the city must comply with the provisions of §§ 56.01 through 56.07 or § 56.20 in exercising the powers provided herein.
