§ 53.04 DESIGNATION OF OFFICIAL TO EXERCISE EMERGENCY MEASURES.
   (A)   Upon declaration of a State of Local Emergency, the emergency measures conferred to municipalities by Fla. Stat. Ch. 870 shall be assumed and exercised by the Chief of Police.
   (B)   In the absence of the Chief of Police, the next highest-ranking officer in the Police Department chain of command is designated to exercise the emergency management powers.
