Nonconforming uses may be continued subject to the following regulations:
(A) The Board of Adjustment shall not allow the enlargement or extension of the nonconforming use beyond the scope and area of its operation after the adoption of this chapter (area shall mean the lot upon which the nonconforming use is being operated) nor shall the Board permit a change from one nonconforming use to another unless the nonconforming use is the same or a more restrictive classification.
(B) Discontinuance. Whenever a nonconforming use of any premise has been discontinued for a period of 12 months, no nonconforming use may be reestablished on these premises.
