(A) The city since adopting the Kentucky Building Code, has required any person to obtain permits before commencing construction, alteration or repairs of any electrical wiring, and required such inspection as it deems necessary for the safety of life and property.
(B) The cost of the electrical permits shall be:
(1) $24 to $1,600 — $24.
(2) Over $1,600 — $50.
