For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
FOOD SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT. Any fixed or mobile commercial establishment that engages in the preparation and serving of ready to eat foods in portions to the consumer, including, but not limited to: restaurants; coffee shops; cafeterias; short order cafes; luncheonettes; grills; tea rooms; sandwich shops; soda fountains; roadside stands; industrial feeding establishments; private or public nonprofit organizations or institutions routinely serving food; catering kitchens; commissaries; or similar places in which food is prepared for sale or service on the premises or elsewhere with or without charge. It does not include food vending machines or establishments serving beverages only in single service or original containers. (Ord. 78-08, passed 6-1-78)
TEMPORARY SERVICE. The hauling of building materials or similar garbage on a temporary basis, as a result of a building or remodeling project, the service not to exceed three months in length.
TOTAL PICKUP. The hauling of all garbage produced by a consumer either by use of a compactor or other device.
WEEK-END SERVICE. Garbage pickup conducted on Saturday, Sunday, or on both days.
