§ 37.39  RECREATION CENTER GROUNDSKEEPER.
   (A)   Class title. Recreation Center Groundskeeper.
   (B)   Characteristics of class.  Under general supervision of the Recreation Director, cleans and maintains Recreation Center facilities and grounds; and does related work as required.
   (C)   Examples of duties. Sweeps, mops, and cleans center facilities, cleaning walls, bathrooms, floors, kitchen utensils, garbage cans. Buffs, strips and waxes floors as needed. Cleans windows.  Sets up tables and chairs for meetings. Cleans handball courts. Picks up glass and garbage. Keeps little league field clean and picked up. Keeps grass and weeds cut and trimmed around the center; sidewalks and fences. Operates all walking and riding lawn mowers. Cleans and picks up papers and glass around the swimming pool area. In the spring, puts up swings; insures lawn equipment is in working order.
   (D)   Minimum qualifications.
      (1)   Training and experience.  Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED) or vocational school supplemented by one year of progressively responsible related experience.
      (2)   Special necessary requirements. 
         (a)   Valid Kentucky driver's license.
         (b)   Ability to pass physical examination.
      (3)   Special knowledge, skills and abilities.  Considerable knowledge of the proper use of hand and power tools. Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, officials and the public. Physical strength and ability to perform manual labor under varying weather conditions. Dependability. Alertness. Accuracy. Integrity.
