§ 37.33  SANITATION WORKER.
   (A)   Class title.  Sanitation Worker.
   (B)   Characteristics of class. Under immediate supervision, performs routine refuse collection; and does related work as required.
   (C)   Examples of duties. Collects refuse at the curb and deposits it in collection trucks. Participates in city-wide clean-up campaigns by collecting above normal amounts of yard refuse and discarded household articles. May operate a packer on occasion.  Cleans and assists in routine maintenance and cleaning of collection vehicles.
   (D)   Minimum qualifications.
      (1)   Training and experience. Ability to read-and write.
      (2)   Special necessary requirements. 
         (a)   Ability to pass a physical examination.
         (b)   Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
      (3)   Special knowledge, skills and abilities.  Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse weather conditions.  Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the general public, employees, and officials. Dependability. Initiative. Integrity.
