§ 37.23  PARKING LOT ATTENDANT.
   (A)   Class title. Parking Lot Attendant.
   (B)   Characteristics of class. Under general supervision, oversees the operations of the municipal parking lot; collects and accounts for parking fees; and does related work as required.
   (C)   Examples of duties.  Opens parking lot each morning. Turns on ticket dispenser and gates. Checks and resets time clocks. Refills ticket dispenser as needed. Clears parking lot of litter each morning. Collects, receipts and posts daily and monthly fees due from parking in journal. Fills out and makes bank deposits each morning. Services and maintains ticket dispenser and gates by lubrication and adjusting all working parts. Insures all cars are parked properly. Insures safety and security of pedestrians, users and parked vehicles. Accounts for parking tickets validated by local merchants. Keeps and makes reports of parking lot operations.
   (D)   Minimum qualifications.
      (1)   Training and experience.  Graduation from an accredited high school or equitation (GED) supplemented by two years of responsible clerical or accounting experience.
      (2)   Special necessary requirement.  Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
      (3)   Special knowledge, skills and abilities. Working knowledge of basic accounting techniques and practices. Ability to make mathematical computations quickly and thoroughly. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials and the public. Patience. Courtesy. Firmness. Tact. Resourcefulness. Accuracy. Dependability. Integrity.
