All electrical construction, apparatus and wiring of a consumer, which are connected or proposed to be connected to the lines of the City, shall be made in accordance with governmental codes and regulations, with the most recent version of the National Electrical Code, and with the reasonable requirements of the City; and shall be of such design and be so operated as consumers, nor introduced into the electrical supply system of the City any disturbance which will adversely affect the normal commercial functioning of adjacent or remote communications circuits. The City reserves the right to refuse to connect its lines to any construction, apparatus or wiring of a consumer, and to withdraw its service and remove its meters and other property, if such construction, apparatus or wiring does not meet with the aforesaid codes, regulations and requirements. If in the sole determination of the City any such disturbance may be reasonably corrected by construction of special facilities, the City will provide such special facilities upon payment by, the consumer of an amount sufficient to cover the installation cost of such facilities. All electrical construction, apparatus and wiring and location thereof shall be subject to approval of City code enforcement division, electrical inspector and the City electric division. Requests for inspection shall be made at least twenty-four hours in advance.
