§ 112.03 LICENSE ISSUANCE.
   (A)   Upon receipt of the application, the original shall be referred to the Chief of Police, who shall, within 15 days, investigate the applicant’s criminal history to determine if the person poses a risk to the health, welfare and safety of the public. If the applicant does not appear to pose a risk to the public, the Chief of Police shall approve the application and return same to the City Clerk. The City Clerk shall collect the prescribed fee and deliver the license to the applicant.
   (B)   A license issued under this chapter shall be issued for the calendar year. Solicitors shall possess the license at all times and shall display same to any person who requests to examine the license.
