151.07 SICK LEAVE.
   (a)   Sick leave for salaried employees will be:
         First year: No paid leave
         One to five years: One week
         Five to ten years: Two weeks
         Ten to fifteen years: Three weeks
         Fifteen to twenty years, or more: Four weeks maximum
   (b)   Sick leave for full-time hourly employees will be:
         First year: No paid leave
         Each year thereafter: five days

   (c)   The employee must present a doctor’s reason for his/her absence if three (3) consecutive days or more are missed. (Ord. 2007-6. Passed 4-2-07.)
   (d)   The Mayor shall cause to be kept, by the Recorder, an up-to-date record showing sick leave credits earned and taken. Sick leave days may not carry over from one year to the next.

   (e)   If a salaried employee has worked sufficient time to meet sick leave in accordance with this section he may use such leave, if needed, for illness in their immediate family, i.e., spouse, children, parents, grandparents, parents-in-law, grandparents-in-law provided that the employee notifies Council as soon as practicable of any leave taken.
