SEC. 11-453. COMPLIANCE WITH STATE AND LOCAL LAWS.
   It is the responsibility of the owners and operators of a commercial cannabis business to ensure that it is always operating in a manner compliant with all applicable State and local laws, and any regulations promulgated thereunder. Nothing in this article shall be construed as authorizing any actions that violate federal, State law or local law with respect to the operation of a commercial cannabis business. It shall be the responsibility of the owners and the operators of the commercial cannabis business to ensure that the commercial cannabis business is, at all times, operating in a manner compliant with all applicable federal, State and local laws, including the Medicinal and Adult Use Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (“MAUCRSA”), and any subsequently enacted State law or regulatory, licensing, or certification requirements, and any specific, additional operating procedures or requirements which may be imposed as conditions of approval of the local commercial cannabis business permit. Nothing in this article shall be construed as authorizing any actions that violate federal or State law regarding the operation of a commercial cannabis business.
