4-3-3: GARBAGE CONTAINER REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Containers Required: Unless provided by Hauler, the resident, occupant, operator, or owner of every dwelling unit and residence producing solid waste shall provide containers of sufficient number and adequate quality for the storage of all solid waste, sufficient to properly serve each dwelling unit and residence. Such solid waste containers shall be maintained in reasonable repair.
   B.   Placement And Maintenance: The occupant, resident, operator, or owner of every dwelling unit and residence shall place all solid waste to be collected in proper solid waste containers, and shall maintain such solid waste containers and the areas surrounding said containers in a reasonably clean, neat, and sanitary condition at all times.
   C.   Specifications For Containers: Residential refuse shall be stored in a solid waste container. The container shall have handles, bails, or other suitable lifting devices or features. The container shall be of a type originally manufactured for residential solid waste, with tapered sides for easy emptying, made of lightweight, sturdy construction. Disposable solid waste containers are also appropriate. If Hauler provides containers to residents, such containers shall be used. (Ord. 1990-86, 6-13-1990; amd. Ord. 2020-02, 3-10-2020)
