1-7-1: COMPENSATION:
   A.   Presentation; Allowance By Council: The compensation of the officials shall be paid upon presentation of bills therefor, and allowance of the same by the city council.
   B.   Compensation As Fixed By Law:
      1.   Mayor And Council: The mayor and the council shall receive as compensation for attendance of regular or special meetings such fees of office as fixed by law or ordinance, and in any event such fees shall not exceed that which is allowed by the state.
      2.   Clerk: The city clerk shall receive as compensation such fees of his office as fixed by law or ordinance, or by resolution of the council.
      3.   Treasurer: The city treasurer shall receive as compensation such amount as is fixed by law or ordinance, or by resolution of the council.
      4.   Other Officers And Employees: All other officers, employees, or appointees, where no salary is fixed by ordinance or law, shall receive such compensation as the council shall fix by resolution.
   C.   Increase Or Decrease During Term: The salary compensation of any officer shall not be increased or diminished during the term for which he shall have been elected, or appointed, nor shall any change of the compensation affect any officer whose office shall be created by the council during his existing term unless the office be abolished. Any increases in salaries shall be in compliance with the ordinances of the city, or laws of the state. (Ord. 9, 4-16-1970)
