The city shall have the power to repair sidewalks without notice to the property owner and assess the expense thereof on the property in front of which said repairs are made, and the same shall be certified and collected as other taxes. All of this shall be done in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the code of Iowa, as amended, pertaining to the repair of sidewalks. (Ord. 32, 11-10-1970)
