Within ten days of the establishment or modification of a fire zone/fire lane, the Board of Selectmen shall cause to be erected or installed adequate signs, markings or other devices to delineate the fire zone/fire lane and to warn that no parking or obstructing is permitted therein. Signs, markings and other devices erected or installed on privately owned premises, shall be the cost of the private owner, and may be billed for and collected, in the same manner as municipal taxes, provided the Board of Selectmen causes a notice of lien to be filed on the land records within 60 days after the erection or installation.
