(A) Pursuant to the authority contained in Conn. Gen. Stat. § 9-185, as amended, that the office of constable in the town shall be an appointed one, and that the election of constables under Conn. Gen. Stat. § 9-200, as amended, shall cease.
(B) The Board of Selectmen is hereby authorized and empowered to appoint not more than nine constables, or less, at its discretion.
(C) The term of office for the constables shall be for two years.
