(A) The Planning and Zoning Commission shall consist of seven members who shall be elected at the regular town election to be held October 7, 1963. The members shall hold office for the following terms:
(1) Three of the members shall be elected for a term of two years;
(2) Three of the members shall be elected for a term of four years; and
(3) One member shall be elected for term of six years.
(B) At the regular town election to be held during the month of October, 1965, and biennially thereafter, those terms which are expiring shall be filled for a period of six years.
(C) In the event of a vacancy occurring from any case, the remaining members of the Commission will have the power to appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term.
(D) Members of the Commission shall serve without compensation but may be reimbursed by the town for necessary expenses without the amounts appropriated for its purposes.
