§ 31.016 SELECTMEN EMPOWERED TO BE AGENTS OF THE TOWN.
   The Selectmen of the town shall be agents to answer for and defend the town in any suit that is now pending, or that may be pending during the time the Selectmen continue in office wherein the town is a party.
