(A) The Selectmen, by majority vote, may, on behalf of the town, take or acquire by gift, grant, bequest or devise, real and personal property or any interest therein, absolutely or in trust, for any public use or purpose.
(B) The Selectmen shall provide for the proper administration of gifts, grants, bequests and devises and meet the terms or conditions as are prescribed by the grantor or donor and accepted by the Selectmen.
