(A) This chapter shall apply to all commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities and apartment buildings containing three or more units constructed subsequent to June 30, 1992. The Town Fire Department and the Town Board of Fire Chiefs strongly recommend that all existing building and facilities be upgraded to comply.
(B) A building covered under division (A) above shall have a Knox box when access to an area of the building is unduly difficult because of secured openings and any of the following conditions exist:
(1) Immediate access is necessary for life saving or firefighting purposes; and/or
(2) Building is protected by an automatic alarm and/or sprinkler system.
