921.31 USE OF HYDRANTS FOR CONSTRUCTION.
In cases where no other supply is available, permission may be granted by the Service Director to access a hydrant in accordance with Section 921.32. No hydrant shall be used until it is equipped with a ball valve, approved testable backflow preventer, and a water meter. In no case shall any valve or backflow preventer and meter assembly be moved except by a City of Oxford personnel. Before a valve or backflow preventer and meter assembly is set, payment must be made for its setting and for the water to be used at the current scheduled rates. When the contractor has finished using the hydrant, he must notify the City to that effect. A Special Service Request is required for access to a hydrant. (Ord. 3260. Passed 12-17-13.)
