145.04 APPOINTMENTS BY CITY MANAGER.

(a) Appointment of officers and employees in the exempt service, except those to be appointed by Council under the Charter, shall be by the City Manager according to merit, in such manner as he determines.

(b) Appointment of officers in the classified service shall be made by the City Manager in such manner as is provided by the Classified Service Procedures and Personnel Appeals Board Rules and Regulations. (Ord. 3479. Passed 8-7-18.)
