(1) VARIANCE - A modification of the strict terms of the relevant regulations where such modification will not be contrary to the public health, safety, or welfare and where owning to conditions peculiar to the property and not the result of the action of the applicant, a literal enforcement of the regulations would result in unnecessary and undue hardship.
(2) VETERINARY HOSPITAL - A place where animals are given medical care and the boarding of animals is limited to short-term care incidental to the hospital use.
