The Director of the Department of Law shall be known as the City Attorney. The City Attorney shall be an attorney-at-law, admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio, and in good provisional standing. The City Attorney shall perform such duties as may be assigned to the office of the City Solicitor by law, as well as those imposed by the Charter and City Ordinance. The City Attorney shall be appointed by Council for an indefinite term of office.
The Council shall appoint a Director of Finance for an indefinite term of office. The Director of Finance shall be the fiscal officer of the City and shall be responsible for the accounting, collection and custody of public funds, and control over disbursements. The Director of Finance shall countersign all bonds and notes issued by the City and shall perform such other functions as may be assigned by ordinance or by order of the City Manager.
