A. Purpose: The board of commissioners does hereby find that it is necessary to establish and maintain a rural addressing system. Such system aids emergency personnel in responding to reported incidents and generally aids the public and government in identifying locations, real properties and residences.
B. Established: Fees to enforce, locate and install such rural addressing system shall be established by resolution of the board of county commissioners (board). The board shall establish by resolution an address fee schedule, which schedule shall reflect the fees which are to be charged by the official responsible for charging those fees. The fee schedule shall be kept on file in the office of the county clerk and in the office of the building official and shall be made available to the public upon request. The building official or a designee shall charge address fees in accordance with the schedule created by a resolution of the board. (Ord. 07-07, 12-3-2007)
