A. Applicability: This section is applicable to the unincorporated areas of the county, including areas of city impact.
B. Prohibited Acts Enumerated: It shall be unlawful for any person, association or organization to commit any of the following acts: (Ord. 97-02, 9-24-1997)
1. Erect or install a street name sign not in accordance with the provisions of the county's uniform street name and address system and official street name map developed and maintained.
2. Remove, alter, change or deface a street name sign, or dwelling or business address erected or installed as provided by this chapter.
3. Place or post a dwelling or business address not approved and assigned by the county.
C. Violation; Penalty: Any person, association or organization who erects a street name sign in violation of this section and not in accordance with the map developed by the county, as well as altering or defacing a street name sign, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code.
