A uniform system of assigning street and road names and addresses will facilitate quicker, more efficient response of emergency service vehicles and personnel to the citizens of the county. A uniform system of addressing will assist law enforcement personnel in responding to calls for assistance and in performing law enforcement duties more efficiently. It will also facilitate more efficient public utility responses and service. This chapter is enacted for the purpose of providing such uniform system of addressing, which will benefit the public health and safety of the citizens of the county. (Ord. 02-01, 3-11-2002)
