Whenever a violation of this subchapter occurs, or is alleged to have occurred, any person may file a written or oral complaint with the County Sheriff’s Department. The County Sheriff will properly report such complaint and immediately investigate. If the facts elicited by such investigation are sufficient to establish a reasonable belief that a violation has occurred on the part of the party investigated, then the County Sheriff’s Department shall informally request the person creating the noise to correct the condition as necessary to cause the noise to abate within a reasonable period of time. If the person creating the noise does not abate the noise, then the County Sheriff’s Department shall issue a citation.
