(A) It is ordained by the County Council and the Board of Commissioner of the county that there is to be a fund known as the County Courts Security Fund to be funded by a fee of $30 to be assessed against any person convicted of a misdemeanor or felony in county circuit court for any charge filed on or after January 1, 2008, or any charge deferred by the court. This fee is to be assessed as a cost and is not suspendable. It shall be assessed for each separate cause number for which a conviction or deferral is entered and is payable to the County Clerk.
(B) The County Auditor shall deposit said fee into the fund entitled County Courthouse Security Fund to be appropriated by the County Council.
