§ 37.01 CHIEF OF POLICE; APPOINTMENT; QUALIFICATIONS.
   The Mayor, with the approval of a majority of the members of the Board of Aldermen, shall appoint a Chief of Police, who shall perform all duties required of the Marshal by law and any other police officers found by the Board of Aldermen to be necessary for the good government of the city. The Chief of Police shall be 21 years of age or older.
