(A) At such time as a public sanitary sewer becomes available to a property, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer, and any privy, cesspool, septic tank, or other similar sewage disposal or treatment facility shall be abandoned and filled with suitable material. A public sewer shall be considered to be available to the property if it is within 150 feet of any part of the property to be connected to the sewer.
(B) At the time of the public sewer connection is made, a connection fee of $400 shall be paid to the city.
