§ 34.06 PUBLIC ADVERTISING ON TOWN GATEWAY SIGNAGE.
   (A)   Large gateway signs. Only four civic organization signs shall be permitted on large gateway signs.
      (1)   Order. Sign locations shall be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
         (a)   Reservations. Organizations may reserve a space for up to 90 days by emailing the Town Administrator or their designee. Reservations must be made in writing. If the sign is not received within 90 days after reservation, the reserved space is lost.
      (2)   Sign requirements. Civic organization signs shall be 18 inches wide and 18 inches tall. Signs may be square or circular. Signs should be made of aluminum and have two holes pre-drilled. The town will not purchase signs for organizations.
      (3)   Installation. Signs shall be provided by the organization to the Town Administrator, who shall have the sign installed by a town employee. Organizations are not permitted to install their own signs.
      (4)   Civic and non-profit organizations. Only registered 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), 501(c)(5), 501(c)(6), or 501(c)(7) organizations that operate inside of the Town of Otterbein may be permitted to have signage installed on gateway signs.
         (a)   Evidence. Such organizations shall be required to provide the Town Administrator with a copy of their IRS determination letter before signage may be installed.
      (5)   Ware. At any point, the Town Administrator may have civic organization signs removed if they become faded, rusted, worn, or otherwise decayed. The signs shall be returned back to the organization that provided them. Signs may also be removed if the organization that installed them ceases to operate in the community.
   (B)   Small gateway signs. No civic organization signs shall be permitted on small gateway signs.
   (C)   Definitions.
      (1)   Large gateway signs are signs that are 36 by 48 inches.
      (2)   Small gateway signs are signs that are 18 by 24 inches.
