§ 115.02 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   PAWNBROKER. A person who is in whole or in part of the business of lending money on the security of pledged goods left in pawn, or in the business of purchasing tangible personal property to be left in pawn on the condition that it may be redeemed or repurchased by the seller for the fixed price within a fixed period of time.
   SECONDHAND GOODS DEALER. A person engaged in the business of selling or receiving tangible personal property (excluding motor vehicles) previously owned by another party and shall include, but not be limited to, a business that acquires its goods in whole or in part by consignment. A SECONDHAND GOODS DEALER is not a pawnbroker. A SECONDHAND GOODS DEALER does not engage in a pawn transaction.
