The office of Fire Marshal shall be charged with the enforcement of all laws and ordinances aimed at fire prevention. The Fire Marshal shall have full authority to inspect all premises and to cause the removal or abatement of all fire hazards. In addition, the Fire Marshal shall make an annual report to the Council as to the inspections made and recommendations to improve the inspection process. The office of the Fire Marshal may be filled by a contract with another municipality as determined by the Council.
