§ 90.12 DOG TRAPS.
   The Town of Osgood, by its Town Council, hereby establishes the following policy regarding use of its humane traps to capture stray animals.
   (A)   The town will provide three humane traps, which may be borrowed by town residents and utilized to capture dogs running at large within corporate limits of the town.
   (B)   To borrow a trap, a resident must fill out and sign the appropriate form at the town Police Department. Police will show residents how to operate the trap.
   (C)   Town residents then must present this form to town personnel at the Water Treatment Plant on Tanglewood Road for pick up of the trap.
   (D)   Residents are responsible for any animal captured in the trap and must hold a captured dog in a humane manner. The County Warden (689-7058) will pick up captured dogs, but all other animals are the responsibility of the resident.
   (E)   No fee will be charged for use of the trap by the town residents. Others residing within Center Township shall be required to pay a $50 deposit on the trap, which deposit will be returned when the trap is returned to the town in good condition.
   (F)   The trap must be returned to the town at the Water Treatment Plant on Tanglewood Road.
   (G)   Borrower of the trap is responsible for any damage done to the trap.
   (H)   A borrower may keep a trap no longer than seven days.
