It is the responsibility of the abutting property owners to remove snow, ice and accumulations promptly from sidewalks. If a property owner does not remove snow, ice or accumulations within 48 hours, the City may assess a fine in the amount of fifty dollars ($50) for all first violations, one hundred dollars ($100) for all second violations, and one hundred fifty ($150) for all subsequent violations thereafter. The City may also remove the snow, ice or accumulations and assess the costs against the property owner for collection in the same manner as property tax. The fee for clearing a sidewalk shall be $75 per lot frontage, plus any material cost.
