122.05 LICENSE FEES; OTHER REQUIREMENTS.

The following license fees shall be paid to the Police Chief prior to the issuance of any license.

1.   Solicitors. In addition to the application fee for each person actually soliciting (principal or agent), a fee for the principal of twenty dollars ($20.00) per year.

2.   Peddlers, Transient Merchants, or Mobile Food Units. In addition to the license issuing fee of $1.00:

   A.   For one day   $   20.00

   B.   For one week   $   20.00

   C.   For one month   $   60.00

   D.   For one year   $   200.00

3.   Background Checks. The Department of Criminal Investigation is the only agency authorized by the State to issue criminal background checks. A completed criminal record history must accompany the transient merchant application. For more information, contact:

4.   Sales Tax. When taxable items are sold, tax must be collected and remitted to the State of Iowa. The total sales tax rate in the City limits of Osceola is 7%. For more information, contact:
