(A) For purposes of this section, and § 90.23 below, the Police Department, or Sheriff or person designated by the City Council under § 10.20, if the city has at the time no Police Department, may enforce the provisions relating to nuisances.
(B) Any peace officer or designated person shall have the power to inspect private premises and take all reasonable precautions to prevent the commission and maintenance of public nuisances.
