Dangerous trees are any trees which are either dead, diseased, insect infested or otherwise in a blighted condition. Such trees shall be considered a hazard to life and property and shall be removed by the owner of the property within thirty days after written notice from the Tree Board. If the owner fails to comply with such an order within the specified period, the Village shall have cause and authority to enter the premises and remove such trees. In the event that the Village removes trees due to the property owner's failure to comply, the cost of removal shall be paid by the Village. (See Section 660.16 for provisions relating to pruning and corner clearance.)
