(a) A violation of Section 353.07(a) is a misdemeanor of the third degree and is subject to a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment up to 60 days or both.
(b) A violation of Section 353.07(b) or any other provision of this chapter is a minor misdemeanor and is subject to a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00).
(c) The owner or operator of a vehicle who receives a parking meter citation notice for a parking violation of this chapter shall either report to the police station and make payments in regard to such violation within five days of the violation or shall deposit such notice accompanied by the sum of five dollars ($5.00) in one of the courtesy boxes supplied for such purpose within five days of receiving the violation, either of which shall constitute payment of the penalty for and in full satisfaction of such violation.
(d) The failure of such owner or operator to make such payment, as set forth above, shall render such owner or operator subject to a penalty of twenty-five dollars ($25.00), if paid within twenty days of the violation. The failure of such owner or operator to make such twenty-five dollar ($25.00) payment within twenty days of the violation shall render such owner or operator subject to the penalty provided by subsection (b) hereof.
