151.04 VACATIONS.
   (a)   Full-time Employees. Each full-time employee of the City, excluding Police Department personnel, both salaried and hourly, shall have earned and shall be due vacation leave with full pay according to the following schedule:

   Police Department employees eligible for two hundred (200) hours of vacation time may cash out up to forty (40) hours of unused vacation time once per calendar year.
   Years of service shall be computed on the basis of anniversary dates of employment and an employee shall not be entitled to vacation leave until earned. Notwithstanding Ohio Revised Code §9.44, years of service shall include only continuous full-time service with the City of Orrville. Credit for years of service shall not be granted for employment with any other local
or state subdivision in the State of Ohio.

   (b)   Police Department Personnel. Each full-time Police Department employee shall have earned and shall be due vacation leave with full pay according to the following schedule:

   Years of service shall be computed on the basis of anniversary dates of employment and an employee shall not be entitled to vacation leave until earned.    (c)   When management, technical and professional employees are employed, the administration is hereby authorized but not required to accelerate the vacation schedule set forth in subsections (a) and (b), but in no event shall said vacation granted be in excess of 200 hours.
