(a) A Bureau of Fire Prevention in the Fire Department is hereby established and shall be operated under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department.
(b) The Fire Chief shall designate a member of the Fire Department as Chief Inspector of the Bureau of Fire Prevention who shall hold office at the pleasure of the Chief. The Chief shall also designate from time to time such number of assistant inspectors as necessary, to be selected from among the members of the Fire Department.
