Whenever it is determined by any police officer or other duly authorized officer that any person or persons have violated any provisions of this chapter, the said officer shall provide in quadruplicate and serve upon such person or persons a written citation containing a notice to appear in a designated court of competent jurisdiction within the city. This citation shall contain the name and address of the person charged, the offense charged, the time and place when and where the offense charged occurred, and the time when the person charged shall appear in said court, and such other pertinent information as may be necessary; and such person or persons shall appear in said court within five (5) days after such citation is issued and served. The issuance of a citation shall not be the exclusive method of summoning offenders hereunder. (Ord. 655, 9-27-1994)
