There is hereby created the office of Village Treasurer, an administrative office of the Village. The Village Treasurer shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, and shall serve at the pleasure of the President and Board of Trustees, but for a period of time not longer than the term of office of the President making the appointment, or until a successor is appointed and qualified.
