The Village Manager may at any time be removed from his office by a majority vote of the Board of Trustees.
Immediately upon removal, or if by reason of death, permanent physical or mental disability, prolonged illness or any other reason, the Village Manager ceases to perform the duties of this office, the Board of Trustees shall appoint a temporary Village Manager. The temporary Village Manager shall remain in office and carry out the duties and functions provided in this Section until the appointment of a permanent Village Manager.
Within a reasonable time after the removal or dismissal of the Village Manager, a new Village Manager shall be appointed in accordance with the provisions of this Section.
