The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners derives its authority generally from the home rule powers of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village pursuant to this Chapter. That grant of authority includes all powers set forth in 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/10-2.1, as well as all powers in this Chapter or any other enactment of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village.
