No more than twenty-five (25) Class A tobacco licenses shall be issued and in force at any one time. No more than six (6) Class B tobacco licenses shall be issued and in force at any one time.
When the licensee requests a change in location but all other business attributes remain the same, the Development Services Department may transfer the current active tobacco license to the new location, subject to meeting the provisions of the Orland Park Village Code and Land Development Code.
Change of ownership: Any changes in partnerships, officers, directors, persons holding directly, beneficially or through any form of indirect or concealed ownership or control, more than five percent (5%) of the stock or ownership interest of establishments licensed under this Chapter, shall be reported in writing to the Development Services Department within ten (10) days of the change. When any active business has a change of ownership of more than five percent (5%) of the stock or ownership interest of the establishment, the new owner must apply for a new occupancy, permit business license, and tobacco license. Such change of ownership will not be considered an application for a new tobacco license.
No license shall be transferable except with the consent of the Village of Orland Park. An application for such transfer shall be in writing and accompanied by fees prescribed in 7-15-3. The written application for transfer shall contain the same information as requested herein for initial application for the license and shall be subject to the same investigation requirements.
