The Village Manager or his or her designee, in denying an application for a special event permit, shall be empowered to authorize the conduct of the special event on a date, at a time, or location different from that named by the applicant. An applicant desiring to accept an alternative permit shall, within three days after notice of the action of the Village Manager or his or her designee, file a written notice of acceptance with the Village Manager or his or her designee. An alternative special event permit shall conform to the requirements of, and shall have the effect of a special event permit under this chapter. The alternative permit shall be visible and displayed at all times during the special event.
